  1. Doesnt your world history text book include any timeline type diagrams?

    The Mayans predate the Aztecs as do the Toltecs.

    The Olmecs are closer in time to the Egyptians.

No! the Egyptians are a much older civilization dating back to 3150 BCE that was around the first dynasty, but was inhabited much earlier...... , then comes the Maya around 250  BCE and then the Aztecs circa late 12th and 13th century.... the people existed long ago in those territories.  but the "civilizations" didn't really exited in the same time line.

  4. There was some overlap.  It is interesting that they both have pyramids and the older Egyptian pyramids are very similar to the new world ones.
