Did the bank mess up my deposit?

I don't know what to do, I just deposited 1600 at Chase bank and it only put in 1000 in my account but the recepit says 500 cash amount so it adds up to 1500. Is there a delay? Am I screwed out of this money? Please help asap, I don't know what to do

Go see the bank manager. Everything is photocopied.

Your receipt should be exactly what you deposited. Go to the bank immediately, take your receipt.  They will have to audit the tellers drawer.

Call the bank and tell them what you told us. They will explain everything to you. And, NO, you are not "screwed out of this money".

if you just made the deposit the bank may not credit you with the full amount yet. this is so they can check the amount you deposited to ensure you dont lie about your deposit and then withdraw more than you put in. wait a week and if the balance is incorrect you should contact the bank.
