  1. It was a big disappointment all around. A main event in which 1 of the competitors has lost 7 of his last 9 fights? Gimme a break. The refereeing was awful. The best match was the women's match. Elite XC has a serious lack of talent.

  2. d**n the entire show sucked.  Kimbos fight seemed fixed.  The doctor screwed up the Smith and Lawler fight.  Only fight that was worth watching was Gina Caranos fight.  It was the fight of the night as far as I am concerned.

  3. That was one of the worst things I've ever seen.  I kept turning to the Liddel fight on Spike.  A bad WWE version of a UFC show.  Since when is Frank Shamrock the face of MMA?  Kimbo Slice scares him?  That figures.  I wouldn't watch another MMA show on CBS unless every fighter was an ex-UFC star - like Smith.  And the dancing girls?  I've seen better looking pole dancers in Garden Grove.  Now, show me a Kimbo/Lesnar fight, and I'll watch it, just not on CBS.

  4. Elite XC is a bush league organization.  Early fight stoppages, out of shape athletes, and a **** *** program overall.

  5. Very elementary - from the introduction of Kimbo to the crappy referee - it sucked.   Even the announcers and cameramen sucked.  It was like they had no clue what to say or do. They didnt leave me with a good impression.  Not even close to UFC or WEC's league

  6. i have absolutely no dought in my mind every single fight on that card was fixed

  7. It just looked like c**p over all. I wanted to turn it off

just five minutes in. Though I have to give some kudos

    for letting the females fight.

  8. yes it did look a little elementary in a way but you have to look at there approach they are putting a lot more emphases on putting on a "show" as opposed to UFC and WEC who primarily attract viewers with just the fights they don't have cheerleaders and rappers coming in for entrances they are looking to entertain but in a different way the fact that they promote kimbo slice in the way the do shows that, I think its good for fighting in terms of bringing more viewers and yes girls should be fighting to provided its at a high level. Either way its fighting i like watching as long as its exciting

  9. The quality of EliteXC's fighters is nowhere near the level of UFCs of even WEC's. Kimbo Slice is definitely an improving MMA fighter and deserves a chance to fight, but his role should be like Brock Lesnar's over in UFC. Meaning: definitely not the headliner. Moreover, a lot of the fights were ended very early and the presentation of the event was poor.

On the other hand, it seems that the fights were ended early because as this was MMA's first exposure on network tv and its millions of new viewers, CBS and EliteXC ended the fights cautiously, not wanting to bring back that "human cockfighting" label. Lastly, the women's fight between Gina Carano and Kaitlin Young was VERY good. Other than Carano's personal decision to not allocate enough time to train for this match and thus fight it 4 pounds overweight and completely out of shape of course.

Overall, EliteXC is nowhere near as good as the UFC. They're just a dying organization desperately trying to stay above the water by doing these "spectacle" fights while the UFC is planning for the future of the sport.

  10. You know... they're new at it. And it's FREE where the others are pay-per-view. I guess it will get better as it goes along.
