  1. There has been more than one London Bridge. It did not fall but was sinking. So it was removed and rebuilt.

    You can visit the last one removed, it is in Lake Havasu City.

    = Supposedly the bridge that was  pulled down by the Norwegian prince Olaf in 1014 inspired the nursery rhyme of the London Bridge Falling Down.

    = The medieval bridge finished in 1209, was the most elaborate and the most famous. It was not torn down until 1831. It had 200 stores along the sides. There are parts of the nursery rhyme that refer to this bridge.

    = The 19th century bridge was sold in 1968 to an American entrepreneur and re-assembled at Lake Havasu.

    = The current bridge was opened on 17 March 1973 and is a one of the plainest bridges in the city.
