I do not know if she had Diana examined by a doctor, but when she and Charles were engaged, Diana's uncle declared she was a virgin (on television, radio and newspapers).

Yes, unfortunately Diana was forced to under go a gynecology exam before they married.  This exam was also used to prove that Diana could bear children. Up until then, everyone intending to marry a future King or Queen was examed.  Not only that, but someone was always present at the birth in order to prove that he or she was indeed a royal child.
