  2. No. The main Silk Road connected Southern Europe with Constantinople, Mesopotamia, Persia, Arabian Peninsula, Bactria, Samarkand and China. It didn't pass through India. However, the Silk Road had several other connecting routes. The southern route connected India with Europe through Kabul, Persia and Mesopotamia. The famous "Grand Trunk Road" in Indian subcontinent is believed to be a part of this route.
