Did the republicans have anyone else to pick who wasn't under investigation of abuse of power?

How high can a person's standards be to pick someone as VP who is being investigated for abuse of power? This is a reflection of the people who have picked her & the people who vote for her. I find it disturbing t0 think that people in this country have such low self-worth that this is acceptable. Anyone that votes for her is saying this is OK. Are we going to continue with allowing crooks to manage our wonderful country or take our country back & let people with intelliegence & integrity & class. Yes, class, people at a higher level can be good for us. I would rather have my child grow up & pass the bar exam & dedicate time to a community & go to the schools & do well & turn out like Barack Obama & Joseph Biden than to be a beauty queen who has not foreign policy experience & is given an opportunity to run a country. Does anyone else find this so insane?

I agree, after the Bush years America needs change, not more of the same. The Bush White House is notorious for abuse of power and by this pick McCain once again confirms he's running for a third Bush term sending a clear message that any future GOP White House will continue to act like they're above the law.

Sure McCain had other choices like Mitt Romney.  Romney got millions of votes but spoke the truth about McCain, his ignorance on the economy, his explosive temper, his flip flopping, his lack of charisma and or message,  and John didn't like it
