Did the so called "Attitude Era" kill tag team wrestling?

OF COURSE IT DID. ASIDE FROM THE DUDLEYS, HARDYS AND EDGE AND CHRISTIAN THE ATTITUDE ERA TAG CHAMPS WERE PRETTY MUCH ALL THROWN TOGETHER MAIN EVENTERS WHO TAGGED JUST TO HYPE A MATCH OR IT WAS TWO RANDOM GUYS THROWN TOGETHER JUST TO USE ON TV. BACK IN THE EARLY 90S AND BEFORE THE WWE HAD STRONG TAG TEAMS THAT WOULD WORK TOGETHER FOR A WHILE BEFORE BECOMING CHAMPS. IN THE ATTITUDE ERA THEY THREW TEAMS TOGETHER AND GAVE THEM THE BELTS. EVEN APA ONE OF THE REAL TAG TEAMS IN THE ATTITUDE ERA WAS MORE OF JUST A COMEDIC TEAM THAN AN ACTUAL TAG TEAM.

I wouldn't say that it killed it, but that was the height of tag team wrestling for WWE. I really only see 4 tag teams left. You have Simply Priceless, Cryme Tyme, Hawkins and Ryder, and Jessee and Festus. It's kinda silly to have two championships for 4 teams. With Finlay concentrating back in singles I don't really count him and Hornswaggle. Miz and Morrison seem to be just doing the singles thing for the most part too. There was a mini push a little while ago with Shannon Moure and Jimmy Yang, the Highlanders, DDeuceand Domino, and such, but most of them have found themselves in the unemployment line. Right now the tag team devision is just on life support.

I think it did because in the "attitude era" there were more than enough tag teams, too many in fact but now there are a total of like four, Rhodes/Dibaise, Cryme Tyme, Miz/Morrison, and Hawkin/Ryder, unless you count Finlay/Hornswoggle, and that only makes five. so yea it killed the tag team division

As far as it being in WWE, yes. They appear to be on the upswing with teams like Priceless, Cryme Time and Miz/Morrison, but for a few years tag team wrestling was all but dead in WWE. Most of that was due to WWE's emphasis on storylines and singles matches.
