Did thee concidered it when they weighed the universe?

hi, i was wondering, science they think 75% of the universe is missing coz there is too much gravity to account for the little mass in the universe, did they concider supermassive black holes?, normal black holes, or even neutron stars???? coz they dont seem to mention it...

  2. yes, yes they did.

    black holes can easily be found by gravitational lensing. that, and it would effect the orbits of other stars around it. from what we can see, very few stars have strange orbits that would indicate a black hole. so the mass has to be evenly distributed.

    and no to be offensive, i dont mean to be in any way. but thats sort of a simple solution. id like to think that if the average to slightly above average joe on yahoo answers can come up with it, the greatest minds of our time can do the same.
