  1. The driving age for Toronto is 16, just like the rest of Canada. It would be impossible to change the driving age in one city as it could not be enforced. They would need some kind of customs where any drivers 16 years old, legal anywhere else, would have to let someone drive them through Toronto. Although that may be a good idea, the driving age is the same everywhere in Canada.

To be eligible for a beginers licence (drive while a mature driver is in the vehicle), you must be16 and pass a writen exam. To obtain a graduated licence (drive by yourself), you must hold your beginers for something like 18 months and pass a practical exam.

  2. Actually in Ontario I think its 16 or 18 =( now which sucks!

  3. Nope they didn't change the driving age, it's still 16

  4. The driving age is 16.

Once your 16, you get your "G1" which you obtain by writing a written test. It costs about $125. This permits you to drive a car (not at night or on the highway though) with a person over 18 in the passenger seat who has their licsense. After a year, you do a driving test and obtain your G2 which allows you to drive by yourself.

    Hope this helps!
