Question:

Did they change the grass courts at Wimby to help Nadal?

They courts were changed to help Nadal's game -it was grown longer and not cut as short, which slows down the game. Also, the balls were heavier, which further slows the game down. Both of these give Nadal the advantage.

If so, why?

  1. Where did you hear that at?  They would never do anything to give any player an advantage over another player.

  2. No they dont. It is more of an adaptation because of today's evolution of tennis. And also the style of play and physical attributes of the players. Also the developement of racquet technology etc etc.

  3. Where the heck did you get this information from. Just accept that Nadal won!

  4. I'm really getting tired of the FED-tards who just can't face the truth.Nadal won yesterday bcoz he was the better player on the day.Not bcoz the grass court was slowed down.

Where did u get that c**p anyway? This is the same grass that Federer beat Nadal on two occasions before but he couldn't do it today solely bcoz Rafa played a match of his life(and Federer was just as impressive..like he even said, "there is no draw in tennis, there can only be one winner".

Get over it.No one wins forever.Just like Rafa won't reign forever in RG.

  5. It has nothing to do with Nadal. He beat Federer at Wimbledon today. Get over it!

  6. No, that's just dumb. Did they fix the grass to help out Federer out in the last Wimbledons he won? You need to face the fact that Nadal played better and deserved the title.

  7. Yes.

Actually many commentators pointed this out several times. They also made the French Open courts a little faster to help the hard court players, so it wasn't just to help Nadal, it was to help all the clay players in general.
