I am watching the ESPN and they are talking about Toyota and making a big deal about how Toyota runs their teams... All of them are making it seem like all of Toyota is doing well but in reality it is only JGR and actually it is only Kyle BUsch... so my question is: is toyota good for NASCAR? and do you agree that toyota is a good team?

  1. rick hendrick created a monster when he let kyle go, and jgr was smart enough to pick him up and feed him - surrounding him with great people, great equipment, and an atmosphere conducive to his style.

as for your other question, yes toyota is good for nascar. as a fan, what i want to see is the best competing against the best - the best drivers and the best teams with the best chemistry and communication in the best equipment, no matter what that equipment might be.

  2. Toyota is good for NASCAR. How NASCAR phased them in is not. Toyota has always been a serious threat to American cars in general.

  3. I've noticed that Toyota only seems to be benefiting Kyle Busch. A couple of other Toyota drivers have had a few good runs but Shrub benefited the most from Toyota. Must be one of those 'dream team' things.

  4. Yeah I am watching the same thing.   Boring.

I think JGR has been good to Toyota.  As for the other no comment

  5. I dunno... maybe that's why I overheard Mikey Waltrip saying "Brains....brains!"  Because I know it's not because he has any.

ETA: Just joking... I like Mikey!

  6. The only Toyota driver I like is Dave Blaney so it's not because I favor them, but I think they are great for Nascar. Any time you have somebody or something that raises the bar, then it makes everyone better. They have to step up their game or get left behind.  I think that's what sports need. I think that toyota as a whole, would be a b or b+ on the season. Now JGR and Kyle Busch, obviously are upgradable. Even in the Nationwide series, Gibbs is the only Toyota team that has excelled.

Denny Hamlin has had a good year. He's probably going to make the chase. So will Stewart. Brian Vickers has improved alot from last year. He has an outside chance to make the chase. Dinger has improved the last month or so. Toyota will have at least 3 drivers in the chase, Dodge will have none.

  7. Toyota is a good team. They've finally got drivers that can perform and win. Just look at JGR.

  8. I am not as opposed to Toyota as I am the COT in general. I am trying my best to accept the COT, I mean really it is either accept it or stop supporting NASCAR. I have been a fan too long for that. I don't see why they could not have implimented the safety features we are told about in the COT into the older car unless the Toyota just wouldn't be competative that way. Oh but wait they are just look at Nationwide series. Now you have the splitter and the wing, coil binding and shock limits, yadayadayada. And these cars suck. If you get the front to stick the back slips, if you get the back to stick the front pushes, toe and yaw? what are we racing, boats?! Older drivers like Jeff and Dale will just have to learn to drive these cars with their arses hangin out? Maybe Kyle is doing so good because unlike the older cars he could not drive the COT favors his style of driving or maybe he has just gotten that good.

Love the fact that Toyota is here, gets the good ole boy network off the porch of complacency and back on the tool box.

  9. My opinion is NO toyota isn't good for Nascar I think it's an American sport and should of stayed that way! And I agree with you that no other driver besides Kyle has done well in them so that should say something there! I read somewhere not sure where cause it's been awhile but all the money made for toyota goes back to Japan way to keep it in America  but of course that is my opinion only!

  10. no, ok? I am sorry to the busch fans and toyota lovers, but Toyota is bullcrap who should get their rears out of NASCAR. It's not fair that black people aren't allowed to race because NASCAR is an American sport but Toyota, from Japan, is allowed to participate. That's total racist. Yes, they created a monster. I hate Toyota.
