Did they pass a law in Cal. to out law cancellation fees?

I heard that a judge passed a law that cell companies can not charge a cancellation fee, is this so. Cancellation fee should be illegal. I am in bus. and if you don't like my service then you don't pay for it, thats it.

You have 30 days to back out of your contract after that you may pay the early termination fee.

IT's not a law, it's a case, and yes, that's the scoop . . . but I'm sure it's being appealed.

Judges do not pass laws.  Legislatures pass laws.  Judges interpret (and/or misinterpret) laws.

I don't think they passed a law but a case did just get finished with Sprint deeming there method of early termination fees illegal.  Cancellation fees in general are not illegal.
