yes they did close all the starbuck in america but only for one day. they closed so that they could retrain all employees on how to make coffee and help satisfy the costumer. but they will all be opening

NO i have 3 starbucks where i live and they are open everyday..dont know where you heard that from

As everyone else has posted they did close for 3-4  hours to retrain.  There are a few Starbucks in my area that have not reopened though because they were not doing very well.  Tim Horton's moved in and took over.  (Thank God)

As everybody said for 3 hours but they are trying to think about the community and the service they give.  I am not as big a fan of their coffee as I used to be but love the company.  There was a good buck last your about the Starbucks method.

They did for 3 hours, to retrain all the employees. My best friend works there so I know first hand. They opened back up as usual this morining =)

Yes it was for a 3 hour period a few days ago.  Starbucks is making some changes in the organization and the purpose was to retrain all the employees about the right Starbucks way to make coffee.  I'm sure there was some corporate chest thumping too and a little chat about the organizational changes.
