Question:

Did they vet this woman at all?

I think the Sarah Palin pick shows unacceptably poor judgment on John McCain's part and proves how reckless he would be with his hand on the button. He met her once. The tidal wave of negative stories surrounding this woman should have been expected by the McCain camp. They go on news shows and refuse to answer questions on her experience when THEY made experience the central issue. Then, yesterday, they said the worst had been aired and that nothing else would come out. Yet, more keeps coming...

So, did these guys vet this woman at all? Or is this the kind of poor judgment we can always expect from a McCain administration?

  1. The vetting of Joe Biden was a joke.  I guess Democrats consider a politicians membership in the Plagiarizers Hall of Shame a plus.

And then, there is the Democrat's candidate.  They chose an America hating, racist ex-crackhead Marxist.  That wasn't very smart.  If Hillary had been nominated, the Democrats would have been way ahead by now.  As is, O'Crackhead can't shake McCain.

  2. She was vetted by the ultra-conservative and secrative (501) Council for National Policy which also helped Bush jr get elected in return for promising to only nominate Pro-Life Supreme Court Justices.  I think they believe it wll be God's will and she will get elected.  Palin likes that term too... God's will.

Section 501(c)(3) is a tax law provision granting exemption from the federal income tax to non-profit organizations. This exemption does not cover other federal taxes such as employment taxes.

501(c)(3) exemptions apply to corporations, and any community chest, fund, or foundation, organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, or educational purposes, or to foster national or international amateur sports competition, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals

    Swift Boaters are also 501(c)(3)

  3. Oh, about as much as they did Obama.  Now that is scary, isn't it?  But, then again, that is the poor judgment most people have come to expect from Al Gore and the Democratic (in name only) party.

  4. I am afraid they didn't.

In Alaska, several state leaders and local officials said they knew of no efforts by the McCain campaign to find out more information about Ms. Palin before the announcement of her selection, Although campaigns are typically discreet when they make inquiries into potential running mates, officials in Alaska said Monday they thought it was peculiar that no one in the state had the slightest hint that Ms. Palin might be under consideration.

Obama was very careful in his decision to choose a VP. He made sure to to have a team of important people make this decision. Then he met with them for hours on separate occassions, meeting the entire family. This is what you can expect from Obama. Very careful consideration. What you can expect from McCain is a fifteen minute half a**ed conversation where he supposedly finds his 'soulmate'. LOL

  5. It appears more and more that they didn't.

John McCain demonstrated terrible, awful, breathtakingly infantile reckless judgment in his selection of Sarah Palin - and he had months and months and months to get it right.

There is no reason to believe he will act any differently as president. That's the level of diligence, the attention to detail, the concern for facts, the common sense to ask questions, that is entirely missing from John McCain and his advisers.

  6. Did the liberal media vet Obama like they were supposed to?

  7. Republican Party leadership is pulling out all stops.  Attempting to raise sentiments of Mainstream America with the selection of Governor Palin is a crafty maneuver.  The risk is that surprises can undermine any political progress.

The other scenario is the President Carter election.  Drop a failing economy in the lap of the opposing candidate is preparation for the next election cycle.  Programming the failures of the other political party is an ideal strategy when your candidate is coming up short.

  8. NO, I think McCain's geriatric corp of helpers went up there and looked up the wrong Palin in the phone book. Heck even the GOP leaders in Alaska say they weren't questioned because they would have said no way. Sort of like the first terminator movie when the terminator looks up all the Sarah Conners and starts killing them till he gets to the right one. In this case the old folks just stopped at the first one and announced "SHE IS CLEAN"

  9. Too bad yahoo didn't vet you.
