Did this affect my height honestly, please READ and answer in a well manner? ?

As of now I am an 18 year old male weigh about 170 lbs and am 5 feet 6 inches tall.

HERE'S MY STORY----

I used to be overweight i used to be 5 feet 6 inches tall and 265 lbs when I was 16.One month before my 17 th birthday on March 3rd I started my diet. April is my birthday, Anyway I started it and I ended it on november 2007 which I was about 142lbs(EXTREMLY BONY). I dropped my weight fast, becuase I hardly ate and was belumic. I actually lost 80 lbs in 3 months. On June 2007 i looked great, but the annorexia and belumia did not stop till I feburary 2008. Did I stop growing or will I still keep growing, I hope I didnt put my body in a lot of torment.

TODAY

I have extra skin a lot on my stomach and am eating really healthy because I want to grow taller.

MY QUESTION IS

Will I continue to grow MY goal is to be 5'9. OR did I stop, I am actually kind of chubby now because of the weight gain I purposly added on. I am afraid to lose weight because It will affect my height. Please help me and let me know If I will grow taller, should I take super-growth. Thank you for you time and consideration.

  1. You might have slowed down your growth because of the weight drop and bulimia. You did put your body in a lot of torment (I'm sure you've heard all the bulimia horror stories), but the good thing is that you've stopped now.

To get taller, work out, and get 10 hours of sleep a night. And don't drink caffeine (which you probably won't need if you get 10 hours of sleep.)

  2. Losing weight does not affect your height.  In fact, little besides genetics affects height.  It's slightly possible that if your body was starved of nutrients for a time, your growth may have slowed some, but you should be able to determine approximately what your full-grown height will be by looking at your parents and grandparents.

Your story is the perfect example of why crash diets should be avoided.  Good luck!

  3. Well the way you lost all of the weight might effect it.  If your hurting your body like that and depriving yourself of nutrition, your body won't work right.  If you eat only around 2,000 calories a day and get an hour of exercise, you will be fine.  If you are really active, eat more though,  that michael phelps guy or what ever his name is, eats around 10,000 calories a day because he is so active.

And make sure they are the right kind of calories, not 2,000 in brownies. Have the right amount of breads, fruits, vegies, dairy, and meat each day, and some oils/fats are fine in every diet.
