Nope, we knew we had to take it all the way to the dump in the first place. Actually the waste company heard of the cleanup day and brought us dumpsters that they took away for free (wow, they had never done anything for free before!).

We did it and made sure Town suppor got canned too.

Sounds disappointing, but you need to plan ahead for these things.  We do two big beach cleanups every year.  The town and the local trash hauler cooperate.  Next time enlist them in advance.

Call up City Hall or some local politician and bug 'em until they get the job done. Have all your neighbors call, too. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, you know!
