Did this ever happen to your fish?

i have a Shubunkin goldfish and a koi and i think they had s*x what should i do plz help! and what would that be called

  1. Fish *rarely* do that in captivity. It was probably something else.  


  2. It is possible that two differnt species can mate, but they are forced to by profesional breeders in order to create a hybrid species. But in order to do this you must prepare the fish in the following months and have huge room. I doubt that your fish are doing this.

  6. won't happen. Fish don't have s*x. In fact, I don't think males even have penises that extend from the body, although I could be wrong.

    Females release eggs, and then males hover over them and release sperm. That is how fish mate. No actual "mating" involved. So stop being such a sick a$$ and get a job or something.

  7. Goldfish and koi don't have s*x.  When ready to spawn, the female swims through plants releasing her eggs, and the male follows releasing sperm and thus fertilizing the eggs.  This will only occur in a pond or very large aquarium.

    That would be called reproduction.
