Question:

Did this happen to anyone before going into labor?

I know a lot of people go into back labor and have bad lower back pains shortly before going into labor. I have slight lower back pains, more than normal. I took a nap today and woke up on my left side, and my left hip area hurt, so I rolled over and slept on the right side, and since I've gotten up (I woke up still on the right side) it has been hurting. It feels more like my muscle than my pelvic bone, but it kind of feels like both. It's mostly my lower butt and upper leg region, but its all along my hip. I don't know if maybe my baby is pushing on something or if I just pulled something. I've never had this before, so I'm not sure. I don't want to go to the hospital for something like this (especially if you knew the hospital that I would have to go to!) so if anyone experienced something like this and has any suggestions, I'd be grateful to hear them! Thanks!

I'm 9 days away from my due date.

  1. It sounds more like a nerve, but I am no doctor.  If the pain doesn't ease up, you can't sleep through the pain, or it moves around to your belly then call your doctor.  Usually with back labor it moves around to your belly eventually.
