Question:

Did this idea flop?

Honestly, it seems that wherever we go, there will be trolls. People with absolutely no life who feel the need to compensate by reporting harmless questions.

Yahoo hasn't caught us, but the trolls reporting us is just stupid. Is it pointless to find a troll-free place, since none exists?

  1. Yes, it did flop and they are trying it in another place now, i just don't know...!

  2. yeah i guess so, but still, it is fun to go to another place where a lot of ppl dont know about it

  3. Little do I know, but it seems many trolls give insulting remarks just to get points. I haven't asked questions yet to have any removed.

  4. Halfway, but I haven't gotten anything reported.

  5. SHUT UP!!!

    TROLLS WILL ALWAYS FIND YOU

  6. The reporting system needs refinement.  It was a good idea, but it allows trolls too much liberty and questioners too little.  Yahoo is too concerned about the risk of lawsuit and their public image to allow a truly free posting site.  Ultimately they are responsible for what gets posted here so they need some standards and they don't want to pay for monitors so we have to monitor each other.  Ideally, there would be fewer, more trusted and respected people with the power to report and others who have abused the privilege would be cut off from reporting.

So the community self-monitoring system needs a tune up.

Some questions get removed because they are frivolous, like the "rate my pic" questions.  They hurt no one.

Some are truly hateful and should be removed because they are not a real search for answers, just a rant.

What bothers me is when a serious question, like the woman who was considering prostitution for extra income, gets removed because a troll finds the subject uncomfortable.  She really needed advice and it was denied to her.

What flopped was the discover option.

If Yahoo executives hoped to accumulate a library of answers to put together a comprehensive encyclopedia, they failed.

People just keep on asking the same old questions over and over.

  7. I guess it did flop :-((

we can just move somewhere else and hope to dear God that these trolls find something better to do........

  8. Aw, looks like it. :(

Trolls need to go back under that darn bridge.

  9. HAHAHAHA!!! I know who the troll is!!!! I'm gonna tell everyone in P&S about this place!!!!!!!!

  10. Arr....We have a traitor among us......

  11. Yes, it flopped.

There's no troll-free place on the internet.

Yeah, you're right, Yahoo! is way behind the curve.

  12. We tried; however, there will always be those who can not let others be and just have fun. Someone will always feed of the gloom of the pain they wish to inflect.  Such is life... Yet, we must stay strong and continue to make YA as good as we can.
