Did this king yearn to see Jesus?

in the book of isaiah 38 11 king hezekiah laments on his time coming to pass that

I said, I shall not see YAH, The LORD[a] in the land of the living;

I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world

was this king sad because he didnt live long enough to see Jesus' day?

He probably did want then to see the King in 'this life' but apparently , to that opint in time, had not.
