  1. Burton knew that bird was going to win, he took it out.

Just when we thought Jeff was a nice, clean driver, he goes and shows his aggressive side like that.

    R.I.P. little birdy..

  2. lol yeah no kidding.  Surprised a few fans didn't throw themselves onto the track.

  3. that was the best part of the race.... that and the Budweiser can stuck in Hamlin's splitter!!!

  4. HAHAHAH! ...birds being bored at the brickyard!!!

    That was funny....

But, I mean, what a coincidence!!???

    Does anyone have a video??

Thats a real bad way to die....getting hit by a car at 195 mph!!

I feel sorry for that bird...:(

  5. I think they fell asleep watching such a terrible race!

  6. I think you may be right.

  7. Yes they did,the number of cautions and the constant sound of the air wrenches drove the poor little guys crazy ! Rest in piece poor little birdies.

  8. Burton did every racer a favor he knew the bird couldn't blow a tire and go more than 10 laps... Just imagine how many laps the whole field would've have been down if he didn't do that.... lol......

  9. I think so. They were so miserable they just couldn't take it anymore. I agree with the first person that answered, I'm surprised Jimmy Johnson and Carl Edwards didn't have to dodge fans throwing themselves on the track to get put out of their misery.

  10. First: the birds thought it was safe since they've seen cars going 55mph before on the higways so they figured it was safe on the track.

Second: PETA is going to go after Burton's spotter for not letting him know he had two birds stalled on the bottom of the frontstretch.  Luckily one was able to get away.

  11. I think Burton seen the fans in the stands flipping nascar the bird sign?? so he flipped a couple birds, with a whole new meaning to it !!

  12. I thought the were trained by Good Year.

  13. I think both birds were playing a game of dare. Who ever moved first would be the loser. Guess they both lost.  :(

I'm surprised PETA isn't harassing nascar about it. ;p

  14. I missed the race. I'm so angry about it, hopefully this will never happen again i think that goodyear should refund the ticket holder's money.

  15. hahahahaha, thanks for the good laugh..about time!

Since the cars could not get  going, the birds were trying to see if they could outrun the cars but a slight mis-cue from the head bird official.."he did not call the caution soon enough"

    good one Plymouth..ROFLMAO

  16. LOL omg it was great when it happened i almost peed my pants when they replayed him hitting it bird. I didn't know that he hit 2 birds lol

  17. Didn't you read the eulogy?  They fell asleep watching the race.

  18. Goodyear planted them there to distract people from the crappy tires.

Man that was one nasty mess.

  19. They probably had a bad home life.  R.I.P. birdies!

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  20. The race was so bad that the birds actually lost the will to live... I felt like that a few times.  Not only does NASCAR and Goodyear owe all those people who bought tickets their money back, but I think I should be compensated for watching this train wreck. I should sue them for mental torture.

  21. well i missed the death of the bird, i did hear it was a pretty lame race, but the nascar officials have taken alot of the fun out of it, they should have let tony get mean
