Did tropical storm alma turned into tropical storm arthur?

Yes and no. Many news reports are saying that Alma became Arthur. The truth is that the REMNANTS of Alma became Arthur, but the experts (the hurricane folks at NOAA) had this on their discussion page when Arthur first formed Saturday morning.... " ARTHUR IS ALREADY

So, technically Alma was already gone over land and then Arthur formed over water just a bit away. But Arthur did form from some of the leftovers.
