okay, i failed mine, and i have to do things right the first time. i feel like such a loser and i'm so mad!!! i cried!! people friendly tease me about it but i get so upset because i'm such a good driver on the road. they failed me because i didn't back up in a straight enough line. even my 3 point turn was good!! who cares about backing up in a straight line!! that's not what driving is all about. i can even parallel park!! when i was backing up i was near a snowbank and i hit snow which threw me off course. i know ppl who shouldnt have their licenses. i know one other person who failed, which made me feel a little better. i also drive a standard, and i had to drive an automatic (which i know is easier) but it wasn't what i was used to. can someone please help me out? :(

  1. Get a good night's sleep. You'll feel a lot less anxious with more rest. Eat a good breakfast. It's difficult to concentrate when you're hungry.

Calm down and relax. You can do this.

  2. Just take a deep breath before next time. Maybe practice on an automatic if you need to. I took mine in the snow and almost failed because there was so much ice and i was sliding

  3. 1. You're a good driver.

    2. You've seen that simple things in driving can be compounded by things you have no control over (snow, rain, etc.)

    3. Secret to backing up - go slow; foot on the brake, not the gas; pick a point on the back part of your car and aim it at a point on the pavement - keep it in a straight line...Practice it a couple of times and you'll nail it solid.

    4. Road test in the vehicle you normally drive - or at least the vehicle that you practiced in.

    5. You have an idea of what the road test consists of, so there shouldn't be any surprises...Just take your time, listen to what the examiner is telling you...Pass!!..Well Done!

    All the best.

  4. do you want some cheese with your "whine"

  5. I passed and have never gotten a ticket or had an accident.

  6. Poor baby!

  7. Yup, the first time I took it, I had a female examiner and I had only one mistake...ONE mind you but she failed me nonetheless.  I was so depressed (devastated more like it)  the whole day until the following days after that because on the road, I wouldn't have made that very mistake that caused me to fail.  At the same time I was so mad at myself for making that stupid mistake.

To add on to the depression, I had to wait two full wks before I can retake the test again.  The second time I took it, I had a male examiner and he passed me (lol).  Of course I didn't make the same mistake again.

Just keep trying and keep practicing and most importantly, don't make the same mistake you did last time.  It also helps not to be nervous.  You will pass...I promise!
