These things happen from time to time.  If teens were given better resources to prevent pregnancy, terminate unwanted pregnancies and safely and anonymously give up unwanted newborns I'd bet it would happen less often.

I feel so bad for the little baby. that 14 year old needs to burn in h**l for that. this is so wrong. she is sick. Besides, how do you not know that you are pregnant. I mean, no more period and your stomach grows outward. umm, duh.

Yes, disturbing. I hope that kid gets the help she needs. There's something seriously wrong with her if she thinks flushing her baby down the toilet is going to fix things.

While he was gone, she "went to the bathroom, sat on the toilet, and gave birth" about 3:42 p.m, Sarubbi said. Winner's boyfriend returned to hear "a faint crying sound" in the bathroom, investigators said. Sensing something was wrong, he entered the bathroom and spotted a bath mat on top of the closed toilet seat. He removed the mat, lifted the lid, and discovered the baby, authorities said. He pulled the infant from the water, wrapped her in a towel and shirt, and called 911 at 4:17 p.m. In all, the newborn was in the toilet for at least 30 minutes, officials said.

A borough woman who gave birth into a toilet tried to kill her premature newborn by closing the lid and leaving her there to die, authorities said Sunday. Denise Marie Winner, 42, of the first block of Mount Ephraim Avenue, was charged with attempted murder and endangering the welfare of a child, Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi said. If convicted, she faces 30 years in prison. The infant remained hospitalized in critical condition Sunday but is expected to survive. She was in the toilet for about 30 minutes before being discovered by Winner's 59-year-old live-in boyfriend, who told told authorities he didn't know his partner was pregnant.

the 14 year old girl had a baby in the toilets and she tried to flush it down the toilet and it died :(
