I didnt like it very much because its no fun when 2 perfect people are in love. there is barely any relationship stress. just volturi stress. and i loove nessie but how did jacob go from hating edward to actually likeing him just like that? it just felt so disconnected from twilight... i wish bella had just stayed human :( What do u think?

  1. loved breaking dawn its a whole new type of climax but i loved it

  2. Ya know, I wasn't too crazy about this book, either. I mean, half of the book is about bella's  pregnancy problems, and about jacob leaving his pack. it was all just kind of... boring. it was definitely not one of my favorites in the saga.

  3. i returned it for my money back

  4. I liked it.  But I'm the kind of person that loves to see where the author take the characters.  It's not what I thought they should do, but what she did.

  5. i love breaking dawn and don't get why so many people dislike it

  6. I didn't like it at all. The entire pregnancy and birth scene was downright sick, I couldn't help but almost throw up when Edward was biting into Bella's stomach. When Jacob imprinted on Nessie, that was just Stephenie Meyer trying to wrap up her series in a careful pretty bow. She had never intended on Jacob being a main character, but she made him into one and then she needed someone for him to imprint on. So she chose Nessie.

It doesn't make sense for Jacob and Edward to suddenly like each other, but I suppose it can be explained away that, since Jacob imprinted on Nessie, he feels a bond or something with Edward. I mean, he's going to have to live with Edward forever, so he's gonna have to learn to like him.

The Volturi scene was so built up and then Meyer wimped out on us because she didn't want any of her characters to die. So she decided not to bring on an epic battle.

The characters changed way too much. Bella suddenly lost all of her character, not that she had much to begin with. She was very confident but also faceless. Edward turned into a s*x slave with no real purpose in the last half of the book. Jacob became a love-struck little furry who can't help but do whatever Nessie tells him. Rosalie suddenly loves Bella, even though if she stayed true to her character she should be jealous. Emmett became a varsity teenager who thinks he rules the world. Jasper didn't really do anything besides calm down Bella...not that she needed it, because she's so perfect! OMG! Alice was on the sidelines all of the time. Carlisle and Esme didn't make much of an appearance either. Meyer introduced way too many new characters that she didn't have time to do anything with her old ones.

  7. um i think breaking dawn was g*y

i agree wit u bout edward liking him jus lik tht thts jus messed up yea and she culd of jus stayed human

and it was gross at the same time especially her birth ew.

  8. I've got to agree with ultimate geek - the first part of the book was just Bella going "I loooove Edward soooo much!" and the second part was Jacob thinking "Bella's pregnant! She's drinking blood! EW!" and telling Seth and Leah to go away. The third part was pretty much half 'Oooh, Renesmee's so SPECIAL!" and Meyer introducing so many new characters that she didn't have time to do much of anything interesting with them, and I think the ending was a cop-out because there's this huge stand-off, and then only ONE minor character on either side dies! And all of this takes OVER 700 PAGES!

So, coupled with Bella and Edward's not-so-healthy relationship from the previous book, the mediocre writing, the slow pacing, etc. I definitely didn't like it.

  9. i liked it but didnt think that there shoudnt be more books i got kind off addicted to all the problems and things and i think that the author took a great risk by changing the way she wrote and the things u wrote previously

the way i see it she made them be perfect so that she could end the series

  10. Anyone else think that enough time has passed to stop putting "*SPOILERS*" in the question? Come on, it's been like 2 weeks.

I personally don't plan on reading the book, even though I liked the other 3 books.

  11. I have very mixed feelings about it all. I love that Edward and Bella are together and happy in the end. But at the same time, your right, with two perfect people how much story is there? Other than the Volturi coming the story was just bland. I also did not like when Bella was pregnant. She just didn't seem like Bella. Stephenie Meyer should have further developed the characters in this book. I personally think Edward stayed the same throughout the book. But Bella changed so much, which disappointed me. Nessie was one of the few things I liked about the book. But Jacob imprinting on her? What was up with that. And like you said, Jacob hated Edward so much but now they're friends? I suppose it has something to do with Edward being the father of Nessie. That's what I think.

  12. i love it, but it was kinda predictable except for her having a half vampire baby of course.

im upset though - jake belongs to nessie and not me now. lol. :(

  13. I thought the book was great. In my opinion the final result was going to make people angry because no matter what was written it wasn't up to their vision. I think Bella is so different in the book because she has grown. She is not the same person she was at the beginning, plus mid way thru she turns vampire. I also think too many people freaked about Nessie and Jacob imprinting. I didnt hear so many complaints when Quill did the same think.

I think Breaking Dawn was great and personally I love it.
