Did women sit with their legs crossed in the 1800s?

I heard girls sitting with their legs crossed didnt start until the 20s or 30s is that true from what you have heard ladies?Some girls say that their grandmom told them that if girls crossed their legs in the 1800s that they had very low morals and was a big no no with girls.What is your opinion on this ladies?

it amazes me how ugly some women's legs are. Some cross their legs at the knee and their thighs are just horrible...All women should not cross their legs at the knee, if you have fat, cellulite filled thighs, please, spare us all.
