I've always said I wanted kids, even when I was a little kid. The main difference between my desires then and now is that I want two kids instead of three, and I actually have realistic names in mind.

  1. I had two girls who are now grown and moms themselves.  Both were unplanned, but I wouldn't trade them for the world.  They are as different as day and night, in looks, personality, lifestyle,  but both are a joy.

  2. I never really thought much about having kids until I started going out with my husband (I was 18, he was 22 with a 4 year old daughter) I fell in love with his daughter from the moment I met her and when we got married (four years later) I knew that I wanted to have at least one more child and ended up with twins :)

  3. My whole childhood, I always said I NEVER wanted kids - ever!  But, when I was 20, I got pregnant with my first son, and from the minute he was born, I knew I was meant to be a mom.  Now, I can't imagine life without my kids...it would be sooooo quiet!  LOL I wouldn't know what to do!

  4. I always wanted 2 children. I always pictured a family of 4 - 1 mom, 1 dad, 1 daughter, and 1 son. To me that was the perfect family. At age 21, my husband and I were pregnant with our first. A boy! We were so excited and loved being a parent. (still love it!) About 3 years later, we had another baby! Once again, a boy. So it wasn't my 'perfect' family of 1 son and 1 daughter. I really felt like I had the perfect family though. Well, 5 years later we were pregnant again! This time with twins - 2 girls! We gave birth to our two beautiful daughters. We were both so excited to finally have girls. At about 3 weeks old, Bailey died. Luckily we still had Bella. After that, we were done with kids. Yea, right. 10 years later, a baby boy appeared - Aidan! We were once again ecstatic. By this time, we were a bit old to have another child, but still wanted one more. Preferably a girl. We were blessed with our Italian beauty, Camiella. She is one day younger than Aidan (ironic huh?) and they look like twins. It is so weird - haha. At this time, we thought we were done. Suddenly, our adoption agency called and said they had a set of triplets needing a home. We have always wanted multiples (ever since we lost Bailey) and they are not easy to come across in adoption. After long discussions and prayers, we decided to go ahead and adopt them. Now we have 8 beautiful children - 4 adopted , 4 biological - 4 boys , 4 girls. We now feel like our family is really complete. We are done. (I said this how many times already and then we had another - lol) This is truly the perfect family, I have learned. Our family is full of so much love and every single child is wonderful. Our beauties are now aged 21, 19, 14, 14 in heaven, 4, 4, 4 months, 4 months, and 4 months. The 6 youngest live at home, while the oldest 2 are off on their own.

  5. When I was growing up, I always wanted to be a mommy, I think most women just dream of the day when they have their own little one. I have always wanted three and still want three, probably b/c I have 2 siblings and I thinks 3 is the perfect number. Anyways I have my first little girl on the way :) I am so excited.

  6. I've wanted kids for as long as I can remember and I love being a mom now. I remember after my first pregnancy, I was like "okay were not having another one for awhile" and just about six months later I was pregnant again. Now a bunch of my friends are expecting more kids and I really miss having a little baby and I miss being pregnant. I think its funny when new moms complain and say they can't wait for their newborns to be toddlers...I just grin and laugh to myself because once those babies are toddlers they develop attitudes and talk back and pick up on your mannerisms so its like you can't even get that mad because they are simply just like you...nope I wish my toddlers would be little babies again before they could talk and before they could walk. Though even knowing all that I want more kids someday. :)

  7. i was very sure that i did NOT want children. I found myself short on cash for birth control, 15 days after being off birth control i conceived my beautiful baby girl. Once i saw the test say positive i knew then that i wanted to be a mommy. 21 days ago i gave birth and i am loving motherhood more and more every day.

  8. Yes, i always wanted kids. Ever since i was little. i always knew i wanted to be a mom. I always wanted a house full of boys!! I have one and working on getting my hubby to agree for another!!

  9. i always wanted kids when i was younger and i have this deja vue kind of thing where i dream and years weeks or days later that dream becomes reality. well when i was younger i had dreamt of the older me in a house some wheres with two kids playing onthe floor with them. lo and behold years later this exact situation happened and i relized what hte h**l i knew about this years ago. but i always knew i would have kids young just wasnt sure how many they were all unplanned but very much welcomed and loved.

  10. Yes. There's never been a time in my life when I didn't want kids.

I always just wanted 1. But then when I did give birth, that number changed to 12. I want as many as possible. I think it's life's only purpose.

  11. I have known since I was little, only I don't have 21 like I originally planned, my husband won't let me, lol.

I used to name my "kids" (dollies) after TV characters, like Tabitha from Bewitched, however my husband and I don't have similar name styles and he HATED the name Tabitha.

It is very funny how things change over years. Kids have this vision of what their life is going to be like, and when they grow up and meet the one that they are going to spend the rest of their life with, everything changes, because you actually have to compromise with them.

  12. I didn't think I wanted kids until I was in my mid-twenties. I didn't know how much I wanted them until I actually had my first. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made.  Better late than never I guess :)
