Did you choose your dream job or settle for something else?

If so, what was your dream job and what did you settle for? Why did you make these decisions? Do you regret it?

My dream job or career is to be a singer - a star but I am into producing others right now.  I watch all the bio movies about stars and how they get into drugs and alcohol and pills and I wonder if I would have been strong enough to withstand the pressures of a starlet's life.  I still get called upon often to sing at weddings and funerals and other shows but I guess it may not be God's will for me to get into the business the way I wanted to.  

I also wanted to own my own employment service and I did that for a while but got into trouble regarding taxes and I gave up.  I know.  I shouldn't have but I took the punk way out.

I always wanted to be in the FBI.  I was a nuke electrician in the Navy and when I got out I was going to get my criminal justice degree and apply.  I had books on the FBI and everything.  Then, I got out in August and decided to wait until spring to start school.  And in October I had a little surprise that was born in July of the following year.  Now I have a family to look after and I'm working on an electrical engineering degree so I can support them as best as I can.
