Obama's blood line has nothing to do with the black suffering of this country. He doesn't represent anything you are talking about. McCain in black face would have more in common with what you describe than Obama

It brought a tear to my eyes watching the whole thing unfold. I'm old enough to remember the sixties fairly well, I was a teenager in 68' and voted in my first presidential election in 72'. I remember the civil rights marches and the untimely end to both Kennedy's and King. We watched history in the making and more importantly we're feeling it in our guts. For people with open minds it was quite a sight to behold. Even after all these years of watching politics I have to say I was impressed by the democrats today. President Clinton's speech in about an hour should be really interesting. Congrats to the dems, my hat is off to them.

It was emotional - I thought of my great-grandparents that did not get to see this.  I thought of my two sons, telling them that the door is now officially opened - it's all good - a great day in history!  

Winning the general election or not - this IS a day for the history books!!
