Did you enjoy the recently ended IPL 20/20 tournament?

Rajasthan Royals won by one run. Does this show that they are the best team according to statistics. Chennai super kings won more IPL matches than Rajasthan Royals. The calculation of Rajasthan Royals winning the tournament is statistically wrong I thought. Statistics often misleads in cricket game. Funny game cricket.

Of course I enjoyed it. So did millions of others. But we were watching 20/20 not cricket.

Statistics are part of the game and not the game itself. The winner of IPL was the team that got the trophy and that was RR.

Yes. We all enjoyed the evenings watching live matches and not anything else. Evening will never be the same again.

A win is a win. 1 run or not.

RR was steady after their first win. CSK lost many matches  before Semis.

I remember the draw with Pak in WC T20. Then the free hits. And India won!

Then India won the finals as well.

there were some good matches, However

the tournament was too long,

20-20 is good in moderation,

Theres only so many slogs you can take,

Having only 4 international players in a side, is stupid and made the tournament very boring,

schedule or timing wasnt very good, wickets in india became slower and slower, which meant lower scores, apart from Mohali wicket.

yes we enjoyed ipl 20 20 very much..........it is not that they won by one run.............it may one run or 100 runs but royals have won and that is the fact.......kings may won win many matches than royals but finally they lost with royals.............in kings there r many experienced players and so they might have won more matches than royals....................even though royals came with an another country captain and all youth players they were the first team to enter the semis...........

Something is better than nothing.

In any sport final is a final.Once you have reached the final,it doesn't matter how you have performed in the league matches. I was really impressed by Shane Warne's captaincy his participation in the field as a captain was superb.

Young players of India got good exposure playing with international players / standards. It will be really helpful in judging themselves.

If the tournament can be organised abroad ( Fast pitches ) Its really going to strengthen our international team in future

no i did not like that cricket tournament ...because cricket palyer all become lazy.... cricket is become businss... all player are playing not like before.... there is no more interest on cricket.......

Yes, a funny game , cricket.

Yet, it served a very good purpose.

In "one shot", millions of Indian, and perhaps elsewhere around the world, people got that subtle message, that the limitations created by our mind are mere 'mind-blocks', and there is really no limit to our capacity especially when there is a team spirit.

One mind block , to look at people as belonging to one caste, creed, religion, even country is broken! (Many children found it easy to "support" some team or other, where as adults remained undecided!)

Another block, is the capacity as a team. 250 was supposed to be a good score to chase for a 1 dayer. Now, it is good enough for 20-20! Somewhere we would learn to "team-up" with almost anyone, and we may end up motivating almost any type of person, for the sake of "team"! Good for prosperity.

The results leaves us with just "enjoyment" , irrespective of who really won! Again, a good lesson to learn "how life is to be enjoyed"...  just enjoy the very process of life, like a good game, unmindful of whether we win or others!

my dear frnd statistics are like mini skirts.....they reveal more than what they hide......and past is past i dont thnk anythng depends on statistics at the time of playing.....and cricket is a game of uncertinities so u cant decide whats gonna happen until the last ball is bowled......and i enjoyed this ipl very much...

It is not Cricket, a pure gambling  by the riches of the country.Do they pay Entertainment tax for the show,I have to checkup with my taxman.Are the players paid the tax for the money received.where this huge money have been unearthed .Some temples were under the control of the Govt.to check the income and expenditure of the income, how this crores of rupees have been spent in lavish manner.Is India is such a developed country to conduct such a huge tournament longevity is ranging from 40 to 45 days, why the other games are not given this much of importance.It is a shame on our part to not to qualify ourselves  to participate in hockey in the Olympics.We are playing too much of cricket wasting too much of time.Think  4hrs*100 crs and less the amount of man hrs you want and think how many hrs have been wasted in the last 45 days.Ofcourse that would have been wasted otherwise also.But even the employed class, even the manufacturer have wasted the time.

As a team Rajasthan Royals played well in leagues.   They contained chennai for 164 after winning the toss.  their game plan worked.  

But one run diffference really make other team sad.

ipl is intresting and a verdict that 3 of the  calculations were wrong in thier decisions :

1) albie morkel hit a six for 129 metres long which was wrongly pronounced 124 metres.

2) the name of the umpire billy doctrove was printed bolluey doctrouve in the televisions wrongly in the match punjab vs mumbai.

3) 3 wides were gived and later not added in the semifinals with delhi vs rajasthan..

the point you said was not in the list....!!!

i think my favorite chennai is the best!!!!
