  1. I think I fell for a lot of hokum when I was too young to know any better.  However, I was pretty eager so I am not completely blameless.

I get rather worked up when I see frauds like Sylvia Browne and John Edward taking advantage of the bereaved.  It makes me wonder how many people have become wise to their parasitic ways.

  2. Yes I have.

There are so many "fakes" out there pushing c**p.  That is why it is so difficult for anyone to take this field of study seriously.

  4. I've always had a fascination with witches from before I could read, and naturally practiced my talents along similar paths.

I even remember using a Lexicon set of cards like a set of  Zener cards!,and laid out as a ouija board - as we had a round table (not so much fun on your own tho).

My parents took me to places that interested me, like Pendle hill, Cheddar Gorge, and all sorts of great places.

I even asked for a broom as my birthday present - and got it!

Then some relation got wind of it and I was regularly "churched" - everything got taken away.

That's when I started collecting minerals and crystals (but I didn't know the link at the time! )

Yes, the vicar told me there was no such thing as ghosts, as all good spirits go to heaven, and the bad ones to h**l. This confused me a bit as I'd already seen one.

I presumed they were not telling the whole truth, and reading the bible just convinced me I was right about this.

When I asked sensible questions about difficult facts in there, all I got in return was the "party line" - we are not to question god's word, or  - he works in mysterious ways.

Divination was considered occult by them - but was a natural gift for me, and that was the last straw.

I studied Egyptian and natural magic for a time, then settled on being a european traditionional witch.

  5. People that cant understand often try to immitate or create obsacles to those that can. I have close parents- cousins etc. that are asking "We are so blessed by carma/they are rich / but why not to be also good in parathings?" Here comes the Lex of invisible- they are not admitted in - let them have what they have and not to ask being where they are not for.So - you see different people exists...

  6. I'm a skeptical believer.

For most of my life I did not believe in ghosts. I though people who did was in serious need of medication.

After purchasing a historic building to renovate I had a few weird things happen. I dismissed them as being over worked. My borhter-in-law didn't and had me contact so paranormal researchers. I did and they came to my place. It was so hard for me not to laugh at them. I was good and didn't.

They presented all kinds of evidence that my place was haunted. I DID NOT believe them.

10 months after they started their research I was walking from the grand hall to one of the hallways. In the hall was a little girl about 7 to 9. I went to reach for her to see if she was lost and she disappeared. I booked sneakers out of there. There was NOTHING ghostly about her. She was solid, in full color and looked very much alive. Most of the time you think ghost you think semi-transparent, grey and dead looking. Not in this case.

So know I know the researchers were not blowing smoke up my (you know what). I use the term GHOST for lack of a better term. I don't know what I'm experiencing still to this day. I don't buy into 1/2 the stuff people say are 'ghosts' because there are logical explanations for most of them and they don't use sound theory when collecting data.

I've put audio recorders in lead lined boxes, inside faraday cages and still record things that I don't hear with my ears or when my place is empty. I record water splashes when the water hasn't been on since 1986.

    BUT .....

I'd never try to convince people that have never experience it that it's real. You can't truly believe until you've experienced it. You can be curious about it and have a genuine interest.

  7. I do believe in  spirits they are ever present..  "good and bad "  if someone has to ultimately decieve you over a paranormal episode then the episode wasn't paranormal at all ..just  some people who want to see this and will it to be  Karma has nothing to do with it but rather having what auras you send out..... ie:"all that you send into the lives of others comes back into your own"

  8. It's never happened to me, but I've seen it happen many times.

There's a huge cadre of wannabe gurus on the internet and in the 'real world' who'd like to make a living from the paranormal.  Some actually are, many might be, but are also in for the bucks, and the power to manipulate others, and some are simply fakes.

The fact they exist and that many aren't sincere doesn't say anything about the paranormal.  It says things about human beings.

  9. No.

I am a believer I do not hide this. From a very young age I have experienced things no one could explain.

I was lucky that my parents did not force my beliefs. They even encouraged them, and still do 25years later. If I do an investigation my mother is first in line to go over evidence with me.

My problem is that my 5 year old sees things and wants to do investigations and I keep telling her NO! and she is way to young.

I have tried to shield her from the things I do but she knows.

Is that the same thing  as deceit? Then maybe I am going to be a violator of the deceitful nurturer.
