Doing something they knew they weren't supposed to be doing and they just look at you like "It wasn't me". Bailey was just out in the yard eating rocks!!! He's two years old (!!!!) and he KNOWS BETTER!!!!

  1. All the time.

Basset Hounds are masters at the "innocent" look.

They're also masters at doing things they shouldn't.

  2. Nope, my dog was a very guilt ridden animal. When he did something he shouldn't have, he would cry and show us what he did (like the time he broke the vase) and then he would sit himself in his "time out" corner. Sometimes he wouldn't show us what he did, but if we saw him in the "time out" corner, we knew he did something wrong and we would eventually find out.

~RIP~ Pogo, the best dog EVER.

  3. If your dog is getting into trouble and he knows what he is doing it is a cry for attention. Take Bailey on a walk or something and keep him occupied. My dog chews up papers when he gets the chance.

  4. Ohhh how funny you should ask Shannon!

Last night I caught my female Newfoundland in our tub, which is nothing new (Newfs + water = heaven)... except last night I found her swallowing the last bit of the new bar of Lever 2000 soap.  Ack!

When I found her she sat up and looked at me like "what ma?" all innocently.

And wouldn't it be great if they learned their lesson the first time??  They DON'T!

I mean I spent the better part of my night last night pouring hydrogen peroxide down her throat to induce vomiting, however, I totally know if she was given the opportunity again she would absolutely eat another bar of soap!

  5. My dog Morris has a problem with "drop it".

He will carry his frisbee all around the yard like a 2 year old and a baby.  He tries to take that nasty thing in the house.

I will tell him to drop it, and he puts his head down, his ears down and look at me through the top of his eyes and just stand there firm.  He won't move or blink.

    He won't drop it either.

    He just stares at me.

    He won't blink.

    I say Drop it....

    He won't blink

    He won't move

    Drop it...

I look at him square in the eyes, growl, and show my teeth.

    He won't move

    He won't blink.

He is 125 pounds and he knows it.

  6. One evening I had made dog cookies and left them on the kitchen counter to cool. In the morning I got up and forget about them and headed to the shower. When I got out I found my dog up on the kitchen counter with his mouth full of cookies. He turned around to look at me and his mouth was so full he looked like a squirrel! as soon as he saw me he was gone in a flash and swollen them round before I caught him.

  7. if the animal  can swallow it he (she) should be ok,u can usually pass anything u swallow.

  8. Yes, the best is catching them in the act and they KNOW they're in trouble.  Both our dogs are grovellers and will throw themselves at our feet an turn over on the backs.  It makes it super hard to discipline them when they're being so darn cute.

  9. awww that's cute. but if your dog eats too many rocks and if she eats rocks that are to big, it may not pass through her intestines. What breed is she anyways? Cockers are famouse for eating rocks. Just watch over her for a while. =) So cute

  10. Lol yes I have. I walked into the bathroom one day and she had a whole roll of toilet paper chewed up everywhere. then she ran over to the corner and acted like she was doing something else and looked at me like "IT WASNT ME!!!" lol so cute! I couldnt even get mad at her!

  11. Ahha yah!
