Question:

Did you ever feel intense anxiety at the prospect of going to college?

I just graduated from high school and I've never been more skeptical about going to college than I am now. It's not the academic aspect of school that frightens me, it's the social aspect. I'm going to be a commuting student anyway, but I just don't know how to stifle this fear.

Any tips, advice, or accounts of personal experience is well appreciated.

  1. yes I did feel that too, is is because you worry that others will not approve of you? if you approve of yourself, then you will be able to be yourself and withstand the dissaproval of others. That is the best advice I have recieved lately, and it had really helped me, I used to have absolutely terrible social anxiety, it was so bad that I would hardly talk to anyone at all....but now i approve of myself, its SO much better. Good luck sweetie x*x

remember it is essential that you like urself, and approve of all you are, so that ur true personality will shine through. Every time u feel that anxiety coming on, just ask urself what it is that u dont feel is good enough about urself....and then approve of whatever it is, cause it IS  good enough, you just need to be able to believe that.  Never believe mean ppls criticims about you, as more often than not, they are just trying to make themselves look better.. and its not based in reality, just their mean streak makes them say things that hurt others, but they are not correct..
