Did you ever find it strangeee..?

Question

Did you ever find it strange, that in life, you get to see a clear image of everyone besides yourself?

When you look in the mirror, you can never get an accurate reflection of yourself. You just get an "idea" of how you look. Yet you can see what everyone else around you looks like clearly all the time!

Did anyone else ever think of this?

OMG somebody else brought this up and i totally agree!! am always thinking about what or how other people see me! it is a great thing to think about!!! ********** :)

How is this so? Typically when I look in the mirror I ask people if that's exactly what I really look like and they say yes. And when I see my friends look in the mirror, they don't look any different than they do in real life.

Why am I getting the thumbs down? I don't understand how a reflection could be THAT different from the actual person, besides everything being on the opposite side and the quality of the mirror. What did I say wrong?

Yes! I think about this ALL the time!

My hair part is to the side, so when I do my hair, in pictures it looks totally different. And when people look at me, I have to think about what their image of me is. It's hard.

But it is amazing, too. Sometimes I have dreams where either I'm the one with the eyes, or someone else is. So sometimes in dreams I can see myself, in others I can't.

Mirrors are weird objects. They used to frighten me. I have no idea why. But when I'd look at myself, I'd feel different.

That was a really cool question and I marked it interesting :)

i never thought of that. when i stare at my reflection in the mirror, all i think about is how i look..yet i can see what everyone around me looks like all the time ! it's weird but i guess that's life.

Yeah. Lots of times. I guess it's because  you see them all the time.

I also tend to think that other people look better in photos.

I can never imagine myself in my head either.

Yes I think about this all the time.  It's very nice to know that there are other people out there who think about strange things like this also.  It's not just me.  I wonder how I look to other people?  IF I don't necessarily feel like I'm looking my best that day, sometimes my husband will be like WOW you look great today...And I feel like he's just saying that.
