i end up bleeding through it before then..

ADD: I leave it in more than 8hrs. sleeping....but i normally don't bleed much when i sleep....and it's pretty normal wearing them over 8hrs. sleeping...

Yeah, at night. I don't usually bleed much when I'm sleeping, and I was totally fine. However, I probably shouldn't do it. But it's so much easier to sleep. Haha.

Yes, and I've been all right, but I would not recommend it because of the risk of TSS. Read the leaflet that comes with the tampons for more information on TSS>

Yes, several times nothing happened and I'm still here. Now is it safe, well that depends on risks your willing take. The Toxic Shock Syndrome(TSS) is known for a reason. It is rare, but that doesn't mean it can't happen to me or you. If you can change your tampon, by all means change it. If you cant well, change it as soon as you can. You generally won't get TSS if you only keep it in for a day or less. TSS usually occurs in women who wear tampons for long periods of time

You really aren't supposed to leave it in for more than 8 hours because of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome,) which is a dangerous and deadly disease relating to tampons. However, if you leave your tampon in for say 9 hours, it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that you will get the disease. TSS is a rare disease and they tell you not to leave it in more than 8 hours as a precaution... any longer than that, you are AT RISK but not GUARANTEED to get the disease.

I don't want to take any risk of getting the disease, so I've never left one in more than 8 hours. However, if you do leave one in longer, I'm sure you will be perfectly fine =]
