Did you ever have to wear that ice cream hat in school?

the one shaped line a cone. I think it was called a dance cap for some reason or other but it always seemed to fall off. I usually got to observe the entire class from a corner of the room.

It is a Dunce Cap and usually the bearer would face the corner.

I've never had to wear one, I was a good girl. If I had seen something like that I would start laugh uncontrollable and probably be sent to the principal's office!!

no but one boy in second grade always had to sit in the closet. we called it the dunce closet. he was what was known in those days as a handful
