I hear everyone say how it couldn't happen to them, and that, that parent should be fried. So I was just wondering, how many of you have forgotten, but been lucky enough to remember in time. At what point, does a forgetful act make you the worst parent on earth. 1 second, 1 min, 2 min? I know of a 55 y/o Grandpa who offered to pick up one of grandkids from the sitter on his way home. When he got home, the mother was in the shower, and the 4 month old was left in the car for 10 min. before she got out. He is not old enough to be senile, the daughter had no way of knowing that could happen. The family is freaking out about what-if's,and the grandpa has now been locked in the house crying for weeks. If he dosnt kill himself im sure he will never be trusted again. It made me think of those babbies that died, and how this happens. If you forget, should the guilt be based on how long it took you to remember, or did you almost kill your kid if you forgot them for 30 second

  1. The very first time I ever went anywhere with my first child. I got out of the car like I always do shut and locked the door... then realized, wait, I have a kid now, so I immediately unlocked the door, got her out and we went shopping. I have never actually left a kid in the car, but that sure made me question my new mothering skills.

  2. i always get scared im going to lock my self out of the car with my son still in it i must check and recheck that i have my keys like 10 timeslol

  3. my mom forgot i was in the car when i was 4 months old she remebered like 5 mins later when she got to her desk and saw the picture of me on it...i think its funny...im glad a police didnt come by

  4. If it truly was an accident then Grandpa is not a criminal. It sounds like he's punishing himself anyway so he should be forgiven. Ultimately, the safety of the baby is the most important factor and I'm sure Grandpa will understand if you're not comfortable with him baby-sitting.

  5. I always worry about forgetting one in the car or leaving home with out one.

  6. well im a 12 year old guy that cant have babies so im guessing never, and besides if any one did y tell u no one knows u
