I feel for Asafa, perhaps hypnosis could help him get over his problem with going through the stages.

  1. well i knew usain bolt was gonna win thats 4 sure but i thought powell was going2 get the silver but 2day 100m women final shelly ann fraser won then the other2 jamaicans tied 4 silver

  2. Unfortunately I was not surprised. He has for some strange reason always choked when it comes to high profile races such as the world championships and now his second olympics. Congrats to Usain Bolt who kicked butt.

  3. No, but go team ja! It's our time to shine. Did you know that most of the time that we came second in olympics behind the usa, we were suppose to win most of those medals?  We just need to improve on education and lower the murder rate.

  4. no i thought that he and Bolt would get first and second!!!

  5. No...I was expecting bolt to win, Asafa to come second and praying that Frater would come in thrid but clearly that was just wishful thinking. I think Asafa has performance issues when under pressure because this is the 2nd time him come in 5th in an olympic final. Either way Bolt was always my man! Go JA GO!

  6. I did not expect it , but was not surprised.

Clearly Asafa can not perform under severe pressure, as the Olympics. I think that he lacks confidence and that it affects him. I think that the way the men are trained is bad because he and Bolt have different coaches and they are trained to revere each other as enemies when it actuality its everyone outside of the jamaican camp that is the enemy. I will sponsor and rep. anything jamaican so JAMAICAN"S can get what they deserve. I think that perhaps he needs to undergo some type of treatment for his issues. Who knows perhaps him have woman problems.

  7. In a way I did. Asafa does not have the mental fortitude for the BIG races. That, coupled with the fact that everyone's hopes were riding on him (and he knew this) and the fact that he always has something to prove especially lately since Usain has come off his hiatus just rendered him useless in the race. Asafa does not run races to win for himself. He runs races to beat the next crowd favourite or to prove he can beat the next guy or to set records.  This is going to be his downfall. The other thing that is going to wreck him is the fact that he is afraid to lose. When you are afraid to lose you WILL lose. If he knows his competition and knows that it can be a tough race, he does not race at all, but pulls out at the 11th hour due to "injuries". Bolt is in his prime now. His form is at the best that it will ever be. Asafa needs to understand that even with a good form and a body built for speed if his head is not in the game or if his focus is on the wrong things such as world records and beating whomever he will not perform at his best.

  8. HEY A BOLT TIME NOW EVERYBODY DONE FORGET WHO NAME ASAFA. SAD HE CAME FIFTH BUT WHO CARES ?! BOLT WON. ASAFA TOO SHOW OFF AN LUV GWAAN LIKE SEH HIM A BES A DEM. HUSH ASAFA BUT AS I SAID BEFORE A BOLT TIME NOW SO LET US BE HAPPY FOR BOLT AND ASAFA SHOULD BE TOO.

  9. nah it bolt time now fi shine and grats to bolt
