Did you expect apple iphone 3G, which will be released on friday 22nd of AUG in India,priced so high?

Do you think 31k for 36k for 8Gb, and 16GB price for the hand set is fair on the customers pocket ? what about the promises made by steve that is 200$ for the hand set ? what other high end phone with features like GPS,WiFi and would you go for if not iphone 3G if you are planing to buy at this moment?

You do realize that India doesn't even have a 3G network, right?

That phone is sold there only to collect money from the suckers while 90% of India is below poverty line. You should find better use for that money.

That $200 price was promised when taking into account the subsidy from AT&T.  In India, no cellular carrier has agreed to provide a subsidy on the iPhone.  They are paying the real price of the device.  Everywhere else has the low price because of the carrier subsidies.
