  1. Obama actually had an 8 point bounce from Gallup from the convention.

Before the convention he was actually down -2, so in reality he had a 10 point bounce.

  2. According to Gallup Obama had a 4 pts bounce after convention, while Mccain had a 2pts bounce after vp announcement.

That's not quite frustrating for dems.

  3. After such a long campaign and primary season where people have had plenty of opportunity to make up their mind about the two candidates, especially Obama, of course not. But he doesn't need more then a normal bounce to win the election. The ball is in McCain's court to do something that will wow voters enough that they will vote for him instead, so far he has failed spectacularly with his VP pick.

  4. No,I didn't.  A 7 point bounce is more than expected--especially since there hasn't been time for the revelations of Palin's cover-up and lies about her daughter's pregnancy to affect the results.

  5. No, not really.  The only numbers that count are the ones on election day.

  6. I expected Obama's rating to fall by at least 5 points after that horrible spectacle and a luke warm speech. Americans aren't very bright to be influenced by such nonsense.  I watched for five minutes after Hussein's speech and turned it off.  Ah, peace and quiet.

  7. They may have gottent the bounce, but McCain/Palin sure grabbed the attention.
