I do not believe that David Cook beat out David Archuletta by 12,000,000 votes. That seems fishy to me and I'm not buying it. Does anyone else think that, too. Your thoughts, please !

  1. Considering it was over 97 million votes, 12 million doesn't really seem like alot.

  2. I don't see why not.

Last year, my friends had a contest on who can vote the most. Each voted around 100 times..12mil doesnt seem that much for AI

  3. yes David Cook is a better performer than the other David. the other David put me to sleep he was boring

  4. I think it is really bizarre too. I've always thought the voting results of that show are sketchy. The good news is that you don't have to actually win American Idol to become a big star...look at Taylor Hicks. He won, but his album didn't exactly fly off the shelves. And then you look at people who did not win, like Chris Daughtry...So I try not to get upset over the results and just figure that the talented ones really will make a career of it, regardless.

  5. l agree and it always seems the voting is very strange,  but David A will go far.

  6. If they really received over 97,000,000 votes then I do believe that D. Cook won by 12,000,000.  He has always had a larger fan base & everyone I know is a D Cook fan.  Also, don't forget people can vote numerous times.  I wore my fingers to the bone voting for him.  We'll be hearing from D. Archeleta again since he has such a beautiful voice but he isn't now as versatile as D Cook.

Also, it was my understanding that Americans weren't the only people who voted.  I think Seacrest mentioned Australia and perhaps England.
