My son is nearly 6 months old and has started teething quite badly the last 2 days. He has never really been a sick baby but the last 2 days he has been sick more than normal and I'm not sure if it is linked the the teething. He isn't not well he is fine in himself. He has a river running from his mouth and his cheeks are red and his ears and I know its just the teeth. Am just wondering if anyone else noticed their baby being sick more often when their babies teeth were giving them trouble?

Thank you.

  1. Yes, it's completely normal.  Everything from sniffles, to coughs to ear infections.  Just keep him comfortable with some paracetamol for pain and fever.  Some vaseline around his mouth will stop him getting sores from the dribbling too.

Also keep an eye out for nappy rash as their urine becomes more acidic when they're teething.

  2. my stepdaughter ALWAYS got sick when she was teething, fever, throwing up, etc. My daughter doesn't even seem to care, she just gets a little fussy and thats it. all babies are different.

Doctors will usually tell you that babies dont get sick while teething but that is wrong, some do!
