I heard some commentators on TV say they thought she had just won her husband an extra 4 million votes?

Was she that good?

  1. You should watch it on Youtube if you haven't seen it yet. It was a very moving speech no matter which candidate you support.

  2. read my moniker

  3. No thrill here, this was her chance to be sincere but to me her body language seemed otherwise...the kids are cutiepies though.

  4. It was a fine speech.  It probably will help bring those Clinton supports who feel disenfrancised to vote for Obama.

  5. no.. it was totally orchestrated ..

it was meant to make the obamas look like June and Ward Cleaver.

it has been a long time since I have seen anything that phony..

the cover of the new yorker was more factual than what we saw last night.

  6. It was an excellent speech and a moving tribute to her father.  She and Barak are both wonderful examples of the American Dream.  The commentator was facetiously remarking that the lovely family, and in particular, the cute little girls, garnered him 4 million votes.

  7. It's just an opinion, however I thought she nailed it.  Very personable, just an all-round likeable person.

  8. No, it wasn't that good.  It was fine, short and simple so as not to damage her husband..

  9. My husband and I watched her whole speech and thought that she did a great job of personalizing Michelle Obama. She showed herself to have the same problems, the same cares and concerns that most women, moms, etc. have in the world we live in today. I thought the speech was sincere, honest and enjoyed it. She didn't try to talk over anyone's head and was very straightforward.

  10. Well,  my vote wasn't counted in that and I certainly hope that there weren't 4 million gullible fools watching last night!  Her speech was good and showed that she had responded well to the tutoring she has received over the past months, I think they did a pretty good job of covering up the real Michelle.  I was really impressed by the fact that she didn't choke on the words "I love America". Body language says a lot during speeches and you could tell from her jerky hand movements that the Angry Black Woman was struggling to come through.

I thought it was telling that the largest applause she received was when she mentioned Hillary.  She also didn't seem to impress Biden's wife, bless her heart, every time the camera turned to her she looked like she was sucking on a sour pickle.

  11. The only people who would have been thrilled would be the ultra liberals who are living in delusional worlds

  12. a thrill  ????????

    no more like a chill

a scary chill that      that wombat

actually thinks shes gonna be the next first lady

the next Mrs executor in Chief

    dam scary

she should stick to running publicy funded institutions

    like the hospital

that way when she screws up she can blame some staffer and keep her 300k job

  13. Michelle's speech was better than average.  Of course one pundit on FOX said he didn't think it was that good and that it was no "Gettysburg Address"..  Some double standard.  Why are Democrats supposed to live up to one of the greatest speeches in the history of our country????

Republicans and Conservatives have bashed it for incredibly stupid reasons.  If you watch it and listen to it without being hateful, it was a fine speech.

  14. brought tears to my eyes.  very touching.  people are still gonna hate and hate on her.  jealousy will do that to you.

    And she looked BEAUTIFUL!

  15. It was a good speech.  It made me like her more than I did before her speech.

  16. It was a safe speech that lacked real political substance. It focused on the personal lives of Barack and Michelle instead, as the Obama's are now trying to re-introduce themselves to America. They want to break apart from Wright, and Ayers, and Rezko, and the like. They are also trying to portray themselves as a working class family who can relate to the average American. I was a bit surprised that Michelle didn’t mention her own personal achievements though, focusing primarily on her roles as wife and mother. Some feminists may feel slighted by this, but most people really can’t relate to the success that she and her husband now enjoy. Overall, I thought Michelle was very well spoken, but I don’t think she swayed 4 million voters. And, in my mind, she still has not excused the "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m proud of my country," comment.

  17. She was very very good.....4 million votes? Doubtful.

  18. Didn`t watch it but even if I did I still will not vote for obama.

  19. According to all the news networks she did nothing at all to help

Both dem and repub commentators agreed that last night was a " wasted night" for the democrats

  20. It was a good performance.  She really looked like she meant it when she said she loves this country!  It's great she can act like she loves a mean country like the U.S.

She really did do a good job.  However, what are we to believe? A scripted speech or the proud for the first time off the cuff statement?  Seriously

  21. No. It was nice but of course, non-specific.

  22. It was effective but could have been better.

  23. If the Obama camp took a c**p on national television the swooning mainstream media would call it genius.

I realizes that they are enthralled with Obama but I do not think they are helping; they are merely destroying what little credibility they have left.

But I am sure the dinosaur media will have someone ready to blame for their ratings nosedive and eventual extinction; it may not help their plight but it might help them FEEL better about themselves. And to lobotomized liberals that is good enough.

  24. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
