The shoreline area around Connecticut's I-95 highway has the business owners fuming, because of the heavy construction of widening the highway is creating massive traffic jams and many businesses are not being patronized, because of it. Drivers are becoming impatient being caught in the traffic. Some are abandoning their cars in the business parking lots that are close to the construction area. Those drivers are walking back to the highway to hitchhike so they won't have to drive in heavy traffic. The state is considering erecting NO HITCHHIKING signs and posting them along the highway. But, because of the construction, there is no room for them. The foreman of the construction crew ordered to find room for them, even if it means they will be knocked down by the heavy equipment. Hitchhikers of the construction crew are fearful of getting ticketed for hitchhiking in a known No Hitchhiking zone.

Were you caught in the traffic?

  1. No I did not, thank Guinness gracious, but I did get yelled at 3 days in a row by a crossing guard for many ridiculous reasons, and had to take many detours due to road re-paving, and my daughter's only in Kindergarten... my point is, no matter where you are trying to get to these days, IT IS A HASSLE.

    I reside in New York...

    Bordering the Garden State..

    Northeastern U.S. so so busy.

I used to commute from my apartment to my boyfriend's house in Long Beach [Long Island, not CA.] on Friday.s...UGGH ARRGGH, sitting in the SAME SPOT near the GWB for THREE HOURS!!!

One time, I canceled, he pitched a fit and I almost broke up with him for being so selfish, then we hooked up once again, now we're married and no longer have to COMMUTE to see each other!

  2. Is this the part of 95 near New Haven?
