Oddly enough I got coffee grounds in my tea. Couldn't figure that one out.

No. I use a gold filter in an automatic maker and have only once had a problem because I forgot to put the pot under the control valve. That time I had grinds in the coffee as well as on the machine and part of the counter. The coffee making style I like least is the so called French press (I don't count instant coffee as real coffee though I admit that that's what I drank when I was starting out on my wicked caffeine path). French press does not so much have grinds in it as super fine suspension of micro-particles that create cloudiness...and I like very dark and strong but very clear brew. My now 5 year old Cuisanart maker delivers!
