Did you get your driver's licence the first time you took the test?

Or did it take you a few tries to get it? How old were you? What mistakes did you make during the test?

I ran a stop sign on my first test and that is instant fail lol. I got it on the second test.

I went 15 minutes to closing  and past written and road test on the first try.  Best of luck just study your manual and take deep breath and relax you can do it I know you can.

Yes. I was 16. No mistakes. The guy had me make a left turn, turn-a-bout, then asked me 3 questions about parking. The entire driving test took 10-15 minutes.

Yes I did pass 1st time (about 15 yrs ago)

Yet if you go to my question - about why we haven't got more electric cars.  You will see that 1 man still thinks just because I am female - I know nothing about cars!!!

I know we are living in the past by keeping the roads and cars the way they are right now.

Technology seems so slow here in England, wish we could change,  how fantastic cars could be!

The 'mistake' I made before I passed first time was to accidently hit the knee of the instructor when I went to change gear!

We should have incredible vehicles by now.  If cars were made from 'fibre glass' instead of metal people wouldn't get killed so much!

Stupid parrallel parking!!!!! You don't HAVE to know how to parrellel park to drive. I prefer to drive around looking for a decent spot to park before embarrassing myself taking 5 minutes to pull into this teeny tiny spot on the side of the road. I hit the dumb pole. Instant fail (that could be DANGEROUS!) The second try I think I parked two feet from the curb, but it was enough to pass me. ----- You know, I've been driving for 8 years now, and there has never yet been a time when I HAD to parrallel park!

Yes, both times. I got it 1st go on my 18th birthday in 1978. lost it in 1981. Couldn't be bothered getting it back till 2002 and they made me go the whole test again and got it 1st time then as well.
