  1. no. i didn't even have engagement pictures. we just used a picture of us that was recently taken when we put our engagement announcement in the paper.

  2. No and I regret not getting my makeup done.

I'm a makeup clutz and don't normally wear foundation 'cause I never seem to get it on right.  I wish I had had someone do my makeup so I would have looked even better.

I wear my hair very simple so that wasn't a problem.

If you can do your own makeup, then you don't need a pro - - but if you are like me and don't do it well, save yourself the aggravation and have it done.

  3. It depends on whether or not you can afford it.

I couldn't afford it, and we were doing Wal*Mart pictures as it was, so I did not only my hair and make-up, but also my step-daughter's, who was part of the picture.

Doing your own makeup isn't difficult, and it isn't hard to do your own professional look. If you have a Mary Kay consultant, she'll teach you. Mine did. Or, Avon has eye cheats, if you're having trouble in that area specifically. It's professionally blended eye-shadow on a strip. All you do is press it onto your eyelid, rub your finger over the paper to get the eyeshadow to press completely onto your lid, remove the paper, then rub your finger lightly across your lid to blend.

But, like I said, I did my own, and it came out great, so if you can't afford a professional, you can definately do it yourself or, if you have a friend who's really good at it, ask her to do your makeup and hair!

  4. I didn't get engagement pics. But if I did, I would not spend the money on hair and makeup. I'd want to look like ME, not the souped up version of me, which would be so fake.

  5. I will be doing my own make-up but a professional will be doing my hair. Actually my cousin, he's one of the top stylists at Jon David Salon so he offered to do mine for free.  = ]

  6. nope. and I loved the way my hair was on them so much that I took the picture in to the hair dresser's when I got it cut right before the wedding.

  7. it wasn't professionally done, but my photographer's (who is a friend of mine) sister was there and she is super good at hair and makeup, she did it for me and it turned out gorgeous.

  8. I'm planning on going to get my hair blown out by my hairdresser.  I may or may not get my makeup done professionally.  I might just to see how I like a certain makeup artist.

  9. even though im way 2 young 2 get mrried (im 12) my mom got married last yer and she had her best friend (whos a hair dresser) do her hir and she did her own make up

  10. I would. I did my own, but I am a hairstylist myself, so in a way mine *was* professionally done, I was just the professional that did the 'do, lol :)

Like I said, I would. You don't have to get anything real fancy with your hair, unless you really want to. I'm sure a lot of people don't have it done at all, though. Maybe get it done if you know that you're kind of a clutz with your own hair or don't know anything about applying makeup.

My recommendation is yes, but I'm sure others will say no.

    Good luck to you!

  11. Yes.

I saw this as the perfect opportunity to test out how things would look as photographed by our photographer so that I could change things if needed before the wedding.

I just had my hair blown out casually.  We did outdoor pictures.
