Did you go into labour without loosing your mucus plug?

If you did loose your mucus plug, Is it usually in about 2 days that you'll end up giving birth? Thanks

I lost mine within 2 hours of going into active labor with my first, I never saw it with my second. And with this one I just lost it wed and still no baby.

my sister with both of hers she never lost it, and she had them at 39 wks and 36 wks, i have lost my mucus plug 8 days ago and no baby yet x

with my first i didn't lose it til i was in labour, with my 2nd i had a sweep done and started losing it that night. didn't have her til a week later

WELL I THINK I LOST MINES FEW WEEKS AGO BUT NOW IM NOT SURE I EXPLAINED IT TO THE DOCTOR AND SHE SAYS YES IT WAS BUT I ALWAYS READ WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR PLUG YOU GO IN LABOR PRETTY QUICKLY AFTER..AND WELL IM 39 WEEKS 2 DAYS 2CM DILATED BUT BARELY THINNING AT ALL.. SO :-/

With my friends first pregnancy she never saw her mucous plug at all -she just went into labour. With her second, it came the day before she gave birth.she was quite shocked as she hadn't seen one first time round.

I lost mine at 8 am and was in labour by 2pm the same day.

everyone is different, some lose it weeks or so before labour, some days and some people never see it.

I lost my plug within hours rather then days of delivering. With my first I think it was about 10hrs after and the second it came out about 8hrs before. Make sure you let your doc know about it they should be able to give you a better time frame but I believe everyone is different.

I have 3 boys with the first 2 I lost my mucous plug. I didn't go into labor for almost 2 weeks afterwards either time. With my 3rd I never lost it at all. Losing your mucous plug only means you are getting ready for labor, it isn't a good indicator of when.
