I used the new crest rinse in the white bottle last night. I followed directions and used it before brushing my teeth and I used the recommended amount.

Right after i used it I felt like I burned my tongue on really hot food and then this morning the skin on my gums and inner cheeks was peeling off. I also have a bunch of little tiny blister-like things on my inner lip. My tongue still feels like it's burning.

Has this happened to you or anyone you know? How long till the burning subsides?

I called the doc and he said to use a saltwater rinse and orajel for the pain but it doesn't seem to be working.

  1. It sounds like you did have a reaction to the rinse.  I would definitely not use it again.  The main active ingredient in all the tooth whiteners is hydrogen peroxide, but I'm sure there are other chemicals added and one of them might be what caused the reaction.  You'll just have to wait for the effects to go away.  If salt water isn't working, you might try a baking soda rinse.
